At Sass + Co we believe in supporting community and giving back where and when we can. Below are some of the organisations that together we are able to support. Besides buying lush body care, you are also helping to create a beautiful world.

THE REACH FOUNDATION

, DOES IT FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF UP AND COMING, RAD LEADERS.

Reach was founded by Jim Stynes and Paul Currie in 1994 with a pretty clear vision – to inspire young people to believe in themselves and get the most out of life. Reach hosts workshops, which are 100% led by young people who have been on the journey too (called 'the crew'). This allows for deeper connection, a sense of belonging, and the dispelling of judgements. As well as running all workshops, the crew is involved in ongoing training and development, contributing to the leadership of Reach, and training and mentoring younger crew. Reach is committed to create generations of confident, self-aware and passionate young people.

WHY WE CHOSE TO SUPPORT REACH

Sass + Co. Body has always been committed to expressing individuality.

We’re all about body positivity, fierce self-love, and of course, everyone is invited to the party! The Sass partnership with The Reach Foundation felt perfect and we chose to support a ground-breaking program called The Locker Room that was designed for people who identify as male to explore traditional notions of masculinity, including consideration of the potentially negative consequences that can result. Young people were encouraged to honestly express themselves while challenging gender stereotypes.

By purchasing our products in 2022, you became part of our mission to empower everyone to feel comfortable and confident in their own amazing kick-ass skin.

Workshop participants have the opportunity to explore and critically question expectations and ideas about their identifying gender in society, working closely with the crew to develop tools, strategies and ideas to promote healthy body image and self-belief.

EDGARS MISSION

When avid vegan activist and animal lover, Dara @our.soul.purpose, who you may know as DJ Tigerlily and her turntable talent reviewed Sass + Co. products, you could say I was somewhat stoked! In return I endeavoured to donate $500 to her animal charity of choice and Dara chose Edgars Mission. I felt in a privileged position to be able to make this donation and my aim, together with my small human, is to do this again in 2023.

ONE TREE PLANTED

We partnered with One Tree Planted, a charity dedicated to global reforestation. From each and every Sass on-line order a tree was planted to help restore nature and biodiversity. By purchasing our products you were be part of this awesome sustainability initiative.

PAY THE RENT

Pay The Rent program is organised by First Nations and non-First Nations people working together, as the Pay The Rent Grassroots Collective. This Collective is based on the lands of the Kulin Nation in Victoria, Australia. We pay our respects to those who have developed and promoted the Pay The Rent concept – including Bruce McGuinness, Bejam Kunmunara Jarlow Nunukel Kabool and the National Aboriginal and Islander Health Organisation (NAIHO).

ST. VINCENT'S FOUNDATION VICTORIA

We offer an ongoing donation of products. We also offer our neighbours, the staff of St. Vincent's Hospital 10% off our collection of products and services via Roxxi's Poolroom.
